Submission Guidelines
The Corner Club Press hiatus has ended - we will be accepting submissions again beginning 1st January 2017.
Please read carefully as there have been some recent changes.
The Corner Club Press is an online non-profit magazine distributed as a free PDF download. We publish quarterly in the following months: January, April, July and October.
We will consider unsolicited material submitted by any writer. Submissions must be original and previously unpublished. We appreciate well-written, creative, and thought-provoking work that has both literary merit but can cater to a wide audience. We will also consider any original art submissions that have not been previously published, including photographs, drawings, and paintings. We also accept reviews on recently published poetry collections, short story collections and novels. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged.
We will not accept any form of erotica, stream-of-consciousness, fanfiction, high fantasy, or children's fiction. We do, however, accept creative nonfiction and young adult fiction.

If you're submitting both poetry and fiction, please submit them separately. If any of your work is accepted elsewhere, notify us immediately.
*PLEASE DOUBLE SPACE ALL SHORT STORY AND SERIAL SUBMISSIONS! WE WILL NOT READ IF YOUR SUBMISSION IS NOT DOUBLE SPACED.
We have exclusive rights to your work. If published, all rights will revert back to you in three months from the day of publication, and you are free to pursue publication elsewhere. We will only display your work digitally in PDF format on this website.
Include the relevant subject line, the word count (short stories and serials) or page count (poems), then put the title of the work in the subject field. In the body of your email, please include a short bio (50 words) which will appear in the magazine should your piece be chosen. Listing all the publications in which you have or will be published is inappropriate. Please keep these to a minimum, or if you feel, plug your personal website. Also, please let us know how and where you found us!
After submitting, double check your spam filter settings so you can receive emails from us. Should your piece be accepted, we will notify you via email. Please be sure reply within one to two weeks of acceptance, or we will assume you are no longer interested in being included in our publication.
Editing
We reserve the right to edit your work but will email you with any substantial or suggested changes. Basic copyediting is done for all fiction submissions.
Note: Poetry is generally only edited for typos but is otherwise published exactly as it is submitted to us. This includes nonstandard words, grammatical errors, hyphens instead of em dashes, and any other atypical punctuation. Please let us know if you would like us to edit for these things when you submit your work to us. Otherwise, we will leave them as is.
Response Time
We read submissions on a rolling basis. If one issue is full, your work will be kept and be considered for the next issue. If accepted for the current issue, you should expect to hear back within a month of submitting.
Have a question for us? Contact us or email us, and we will get back to you soon.
